InventoryQuick + Shopify: Better Together

Shopify is amazing for selling online. InventoryQuick makes it amazing for inventory: purchase orders, low stock alerts, and an IQ Assistant, with two-way sync (Pro) keeping Shopify current (new store connections are paused) while Shopify's replacement connection method is switched on, so catalogs come in by CSV meanwhile. Demand forecasting comes in on Business.

FAQ

Frequently asked.

Should I use InventoryQuick instead of Shopify?

They solve different problems. Shopify is an e-commerce platform for selling online. InventoryQuick is inventory management software for tracking, ordering, and optimizing stock. Many businesses use both — Shopify for their online store and InventoryQuick for managing their inventory, suppliers, and purchase orders. InventoryQuick has a built-in Shopify integration. New store connections are paused while Shopify’s new method is switched on; CSV import covers the same catalog meanwhile.

Does Shopify have purchase orders?

Not natively. Shopify's built-in inventory only tracks quantities and transfers. For purchase orders, you need a third-party app from the Shopify App Store, which typically costs $20-$100/mo on top of your Shopify subscription. InventoryQuick includes purchase orders, supplier management, and receiving workflows on every paid plan.

Can I connect InventoryQuick to my Shopify store?

Not at the moment. The integration is built — products, variants and stock sync both ways, and receiving a purchase order pushes the stock back — but Shopify retired the connection method we relied on, so new store connections are paused until our replacement is switched on. Until then you import your catalog by CSV, which covers the same products, variants, SKUs and quantities. We would rather say so than take your money for a connection you cannot switch on. Purchase orders, multi-warehouse stock and demand forecasting all run in InventoryQuick today either way.

Can I migrate from Shopify to InventoryQuick?

You don't have to choose one or the other — most Shopify sellers use InventoryQuick alongside Shopify, not instead of it. But if you want to import your Shopify product catalog, export it as CSV and upload to InventoryQuick. We auto-detect Shopify columns like Handle, Variant SKU, Variant Inventory Qty, and Variant Price, and map them automatically.
