What doesn't survive the shutdown
Shopify's own migration guidance is clear about four things merchants tend to discover too late. Plan around them before August 31.
Your supplier list cannot be exported
Stocky has no supplier export. Contact names, emails, phone numbers, and payment terms have to be copied out by hand while the app still opens. For most stores that is 10-40 rows and under an hour — but only if you do it before the cutoff.
Purchase-order history does not transfer, and there is no bulk export
Historical POs cannot be imported into Shopify. Worse, Stocky has no export-all button: Shopify documents downloading them one at a time (Purchases → click the PO number → Download → CSV). Budget the time, or decide which POs actually matter, and keep the files as your cost-history archive.
Do not uninstall Stocky
Shopify cautions that data from an uninstalled Stocky app might not be retrievable upon reinstallation — and since the February 2, 2026 delisting you cannot reinstall it from the App Store. Recovery means a Support ticket and a maybe, so treat removing the app before you have exported as a problem you might not be able to fix.
The APIs stop on August 31
Anything connected to Stocky through its API stops working on the same date — not just the app screens. If a spreadsheet, report, or third-party tool reads from Stocky, it goes dark too.

When does Stocky shut down?
August 31, 2026. Shopify removed Stocky from the App Store on February 2, 2026, and after August 31 you can no longer use it to manage inventory. Your data is not deleted that day (Shopify grants read-only export access for at least 90 days after), but Stocky’s APIs stop on August 31 and any integrations break, so a replacement needs to be in place before that date.
Does it handle GST or VAT on purchase orders?
Yes. Enter unit costs ex-tax, set the PO tax rate once (for example 10% Australian GST) and it is remembered for the next PO. The purchase order shows the ex-tax subtotal, the tax amount, and the tax-inclusive total, so the PO total matches your supplier invoice exactly. Inventory cost stays ex-tax, and the emailed PO to your supplier shows the same breakdown.

Honestly, it depends. InventoryQuick is strongest for the purchasing side of Stocky — purchase orders, receiving, supplier management, reorder points, and stock visibility. If your workflow centers on POS-integrated receiving at the register, in-store counts, and label printing from the point of sale, InventoryQuick is not a POS add-on and a POS-native tool may fit better. Many stores run both: their POS for the register, InventoryQuick for purchasing and replenishment.
