Questions

Before you start.

Do I need to buy a barcode scanner gun?

No. The scanner uses the camera already in your phone, and the browser dashboard can scan through a laptop webcam. That is the whole setup — nothing to buy, nothing to pair.

Which barcode formats can InventoryQuick read?

QR, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, CODE128, CODE39, and CODE93 — which covers effectively every retail and warehouse label you will meet.

Can I use the barcodes already printed on my products?

Yes, and it is the fastest way to start. Scan a manufacturer barcode once while adding the item and InventoryQuick remembers it, so every future scan of that product pulls up the right record.

What about items that have no barcode at all?

InventoryQuick generates one. Add an item without a barcode and it creates a CODE128 code from the SKU automatically. You can print labels one at a time or generate a whole batch at once, as CODE128, EAN-13, UPC-A, or QR.

Is scanning included on every plan?

Yes. Barcode scanning, label generation, and printing are included from Starter ($19/mo) upward — there is no scanning add-on and no per-scan charge.
