Can teachers check equipment out themselves?
Yes, if you give them an account. Check-out records who took an item and when it is due back, and the item stays flagged until it is returned. Team member counts are by plan: 2 on Starter, 3 on Pro, 15 on Business, and unlimited on Enterprise, so a district-wide rollout usually means Business or Enterprise.
How do we track Chromebooks and tablets?
Tag each device and record its serial number in the barcode field, then check devices out to students, teachers, or classrooms. Scanning a tag with a phone pulls up the device and its full checkout history. At the end of a term, anything still showing as checked out is your recovery list.
Can we track supplies across several buildings?
Yes. Each building, lab, classroom, or storage closet can be its own location, and locations nest so a closet can sit inside a building. The plan sets how many you get: 3 on Starter, 5 on Pro, 50 on Business, and unlimited on Enterprise. Most schools tracking more than a handful of rooms need Business.
Will it help with budget requests?
That is a common reason schools start. Once equipment and consumables are recorded, you can export the full list with quantities, purchase dates, and values to CSV on any plan and hand a real number to the business office instead of an estimate. Low-stock alerts also show which consumables actually run out, which is usually different from what people assume.
