Replacing Stocky's Purchase Orders: What Actually Covers the Workflow (2026)

What Stocky's PO workflow actually did#

1. Create the PO — line items, quantities, costs, against a supplier record
2. Send it — an emailed PO the supplier can act on, with real totals
3. Receive against it — including *partial* receipts, because suppliers short-ship constantly; the PO stays open for the backorder
4. Update costs — what you actually paid flows into your cost tracking, not just the first price you ever typed
5. Update stock — received quantities land in inventory (and, if you sync, back in Shopify)

The checklist for any replacement#
